Privacy Notice for Job Applicants

If you submit a job application by e-mail or in any other form, or submit queries regarding job applications, we may use the information submitted by you in order to come to a decision regarding entering into an employment relationship, to contact you or in order to answer your query. This information may include personal data about you.

What kind of personal data do we process?

We will process information that you provide to us for the above purposes, such as:

  • your identification data (e.g. name, date of birth);
  • your contact details (e-mail address, phone number, address);
  • your photo;
  • any information set out in your CV (experience, skills, studies, language proficiency, etc.);
  • in relation to certain specific roles, any additional data that is necessary.

In any case, we will not process any special categories of personal data without your prior written consent and in accordance with applicable laws.
Please do not disclose any special categories of personal data (such as health information) in your CV.

What is the legal basis for our data processing?

Our data processing is based on your consent.

By sharing your data with us, you consent to our processing of your data in accordance with the applicable data protection laws and this notice. If you do not agree to our processing of your data in the manner outlined in this notice, please do not submit any personal data to us.

You may also decide to apply for a position through LinkedIn and share your LinkedIn profile with us. LinkedIn is a third-party service and any information that you provide to LinkedIn or that is collected by LinkedIn is subject to its own privacy policy. We do not share your data with third parties, unless it is required by law.

How will we process your data?

In principle, we will process your personal data to evaluate your eligibility for the applied position or similar relevant vacancies with us. Unless you inform us that you do not want us to consider your application for similar positions that may be of interest for you, we understand that we may contact you in relation to other Tresorit positions.

Where required by law or where we believe it is necessary to protect our legal rights, interests and the interests of others, we may use information about you in connection with legal claims and compliance fuctions.

How do we protect your data?

We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against loss or other forms of unlawful processing. Tresorit is ISO ISO 27001:2013 certified.

How long will we retain your data?

We will retain your personal data as long as it is needed to fulfill the purposes specified above, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

If you no longer want us to keep your data, you can withdraw your consent at any time. To do so, please e-mail us at hr@tresorit.com.

Your privacy rights

You may ask us to:

  • provide information to you about the personal data that we or our processors maintain about you,
  • correct inaccuracies or amend your personal data,
  • delete your personal data.

You can request this by send an email to hr@tresorit.com. We will respond to your request within thirty days. Please note that, we may ask you to verify your identity before complying with the request.

Changes to this policy

As every high-quality service, our service is constantly improved in effort to keep users satisfied, but these improvements necessarily mean changes. Due to the on-going changes in the law and the changing nature of technology, data practices are changing from time to time.
