How to switch to GDPR compliant data management in the cloud had dominated many of the C-level conversations at Intergroup Partners. In the past, Intergroup Partners used different systems for documents depending on their sensitivity. Some were not encrypted, others were encrypted with a software which was difficult to use, and the most sensitive ones were only available to a restricted number of employees through a specific system. This was a pretty complicated way of handling documents. So Montserrat decided to look for a convenient yet compliant way to manage documents in the cloud.

Therefore, the notification requirement of the GDPR does not apply and fines can also be avoided." She added that Tresorit can also help eliminate human errors that could lead to accidental data breaches as it has various control features. "All this helps us to safely collaborate with our clients and reassure them that their data are handled in a compliant way. Ultimately, we wanted it nice and easy, we wanted to be compliant, we wanted to have a good understanding of who can access what data. Tresorit simplified a lot our internal processes and the communication towards our customers. There is no excuse for anybody not to use it."
