Zurich, 07 June 2023 – Tresorit, a data security specialist of Swiss Post Communication Services, providing solutions for ultra-secure collaboration, announces the promotion of István Hartung from Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to the position of CEO, effective October 1st. In this new role, Hartung will lead the company's strategic growth and further strengthen its position in the market. At the same time, current CEO and founder István Lám remains a member of the Board of Tresorit Group but transitions to the role of Director of Corporate Development and will collaborate more closely with Swiss Post Communication Services. Lám will stay with Tresorit, ensuring a seamless leadership transition first and then fostering stronger synergies between Tresorit and Swiss Post Communication Services’ solutions.

Under Hartung's leadership as CTO, Tresorit has consistently delivered cutting-edge technology and unparalleled security features, solidifying its reputation as the go-to platform for ultra-secure collaboration. His promotion to CEO reflects his exceptional contributions to the company and his strong vision for its future. Hartung joined Tresorit as one of the company’s first engineers when it was founded back in 2011. Prior to becoming CTO, István led cloud engineering efforts as a team lead, and later as an SVP of engineering.
