Tresorit receives special jury prize at the EuroCloud Awards
We’re happy to announce that Tresorit received a special prize from the jury at the EuroCloud Awards 2017 in Brussels. Tresorit was praised and acknowledged as the “One to Watch” company among European cloud-based vendors, for developing the best secure file sync & sharing service. We received recognition as a European cloud-based service that works towards bringing secure team collaboration to SMBs and enterprises.
Organized as part of the Belgian Cybersecurity Convention 2017, the final list of winners was announced at the EuroCloud Forum. Echoing the words of our UK & Benelux Country Manager, Tim Newton, winning this award reinforces our belief that strong end-to-end encryption is key to protecting data in the cloud. And it will become even more important when the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is applied to all organizations handling personal data of their clients and employees, starting in May 2018. Having a public cloud server hacked shouldn’t be a concern for the end-users if the encryption is done correctly – zero knowledge, end-to-end.
We are very happy about this award. It honors the decision we made right from the start: providing our customers with maximum security and usability. We built a secure cloud-based service that:
- combines built-in end-to-end encryption, file control, and data governance features
- allows businesses to collaborate securely and to protect files both against external threats of hackers or surveillance and internal data breaches
- uses secure, European data centers
- protects user data under strict Swiss privacy laws
- is easy-to-use and is built with usability at its heart
