Tresorit Joins Cloud Security Alliance to Build Trust in the Cloud
Zurich, Switzerland, December 17, 2018 – Tresorit, the leading file sync and sharing company with more than 25.000 clients worldwide, announced today that it has joined the Cloud Security Alliance (CSA). CSA is a not-for-profit organization with a mission to promote the use of best practices for providing security assurance within Cloud Computing, and to provide education on the uses of Cloud Computing to help secure all other forms of computing.
Tresorit brings a deep expertise in secure cloud collaboration and file sharing to CSA with its offering of an end-to-end encrypted file sync and sharing service based on zero knowledge principle. This means that Tresorit does not hold the encryption keys nor users’ passwords on its servers hence, no one, not even Tresorit’s own developers can look into the content of users’ files.
This year, the company has launched its standalone end-to-end encrypted file sharing service named Tresorit Send as well to provide a secure alternative to unreliable file transfer sites and email attachments. With its services, Tresorit offers a trustworthy cloud for businesses which matches the security of an on-premise solution. As such, Tresorit enables businesses from all sectors of the economy to take control of their data and to store and share sensitive files securely in the cloud.
“CSA is an established thought leader in the security industry and will help us stay on top of key cloud security trends and best practices. We look forward to bringing our expertise in cloud encryption to CSA and its members and to contribute to CSA’s goal of ensuring a secure cloud computing environment and building trust in the cloud”, says Istvan Lam, CEO and founder of Tresorit.
“We welcome Tresorit as a member of CSA and believe they’ll bring valuable knowledge in cloud security to our organization. Their innovative mindset and dedication to security and privacy online will help our members leverage the benefits of the cloud” explained J.R. Santos, Executive Vice President of Research, CSA.
