We think it is important to protect your privacy and be open about how we use your data. This information is to keep you informed and to help you enjoy our services. For details about our processing of your personal data, see our Privacy Policy.
Tresorit services use cookies, web beacons, pixel tags, and similar technologies to make our service more attractive and to enable certain features. We only use cookies that we think are necessary and helpful. This policy explains how we use cookies and the choices you have.
What are cookies and similar technologies?
A cookie is a small text file that is stored in your browser or elsewhere on your hard drive. There are other similar technologies such as pixel tags (transparent graphic images placed on a web page or in an email, which indicate that a page or email has been viewed), web bugs (similar to pixel tags), and web storage, which are which are sent to your computer or mobile device. In this policy, we refer to all of these technologies as “cookies.”
How do we use cookies?
When you log in and use our services, we use cookies. This helps us for example to log you in, remember your preferences and to make our services work more efficiently.
For the ease of understanding, we detail below the cookies we use.
- Essential / operational: These cookies enable services you have specifically asked for. Some of these cookies remember choices you make to improve your experience, for example they can tell us which language you prefer.
- Functional: Functional cookies enhance the functions and performance of our services. They provide you with features, insights, and customized content. We also use first-party performance statistic cookies to learn how well our services perform, and to better understand how people use our services so we can fix bugs and improve their experience.

Please note that if you choose to block cookies, doing so may impair or prevent certain elements of our service from functioning. You can always decide to withdraw your consent, or consent again at any time.
Does Tresorit respond to DO NOT TRACK requests?
As part of our privacy commitment, Tresorit services honor DO NOT TRACK (DNT) requests.
Please note that there is not yet a common understanding of how to interpret the DNT signal. However, we have adopted an approach that we believe honors the fundamental pro-privacy aims of the DNT standard. Even if you enable DNT in your browser, we need to log some actions you take in order to make our services work. However, if you enable DNT our analytics will not receive information about your activities for statistical purposes.
Regardless of whether you browse DNT or not, we do not track you across the Internet.
How can we change this policy?
As every high-quality service, our service is constantly improved in effort to keep users satisfied, but these improvements necessarily mean changes. Thus, we reserve the right to update this policy from time to time. We encourage you to periodically review this page for the latest version of this policy. We will archive the former versions of the policy here.
