Global Encryption Day 2022
On the 21st of October, Tresorit, Encryption Europe, and ISOC are holding an exclusive, invitation-only, face-to-face event celebrating encryption at the Crowne Plaza Zurich.
At Tresorit, our mission is to help people protect and stay in control of their digital information. End-to-end encryption has been an enabler of the digital economy and has facilitated the shift to online workspaces. With the encrypted cloud storage and email encryption, we aim to display how encryption ensures security, privacy, safety, and efficiency.
Through our exclusive invitation-only event, we aim to highlight and position experts as encryption thought-leaders in Europe and elevate the discussion surrounding encryption. To do this, we are connecting leading cryptographers and adopters via the theme ‘Humanising Encryption: Connecting Encryption Leaders with Leading Adopters’.
Speakers will pitch why encryption is critical to individuals, government, and businesses, providing a global perspective on encryption to guests without getting bogged down in detail.
Some of the speakers attending the conference include:
György Szilágyi
As Chief Revenue Officer, György oversees the operation of Tresorit's sales, customer support and partnership departments. Prior to that, he also acted as Tresorit’s Chief Product Officer, where he was responsible for Product Development.
David Frautschy
As Senior Director for European Government and Regulatory Affairs at Internet Society, David is a government affairs professional with 20+ years of experience, 13+ of which focus on telecom and digital regulations, trade policy, and corporate social responsibility.
Monika Josi
Monika has worked in various roles and companies across industry. She has worked in leadership and SME roles, consulting to in-house positions, and from the Big 4 tech companies to pharma. Monika specialises in understanding the business, the technology, the regulatory requirements, the risks, the security and, most of all, the culture and people to take advantage of opportunities and turn challenges into success stories.
Ilja Summala
As CTO at Nordcloud, Ilja is a legend in the tech industry. After 12 years at tech giant Nokia, he joined Nordcloud as CTO in 2012 to lead them on their journey to become a full-stack, cloud-native system integrator.
Timothée Rebours
Timothée is an engineer from the École Polytechnique in France and is the co-founder of Seald, a company that aims to simplify the security of documents and emails with a nearly-transparent encryption tool. By making encryption tools easy to use and accessible to the mainstream, Seald brings security and control over your company's data, wherever it's sent or stored.
Valentin Mulder
Technology and Market Monitoring and Industry relations intern at Cyber-Defence Campus, Tresorit is facilitating this event and has reserved a block of rooms until October 13th at a preferred price on the event site. The only costs you will incur by attending this event will be travel costs and the fee for one night at the Crowne Plaza, which comes to 160 CHF with breakfast included.
