Realm + ZeroKit: Introducing end-to-end encryption to realtime collaboration apps

We’re happy to announce our partnership with Realm, the mobile platform powering the world’s most responsive applications. Together with Realm, our ZeroKit SDK helps developers build secure and reactive mobile apps that sync end-to-end encrypted data smoothly between users and devices.

End-to-end encryption is the most secure way to manage data in the cloud. We believe it should be used in all apps where sensitive data is managed.

Developing end-to-end encryption and backend systems of record requires significant amounts of engineering and cryptography expertise though. This is why we have decided to team up with Realm and create an easy-to-use developer tool. Our joint solution makes it easy for any developer to securely authenticate users, sync data realtime, and safeguard it with end-to-end encryption.

The toolkit goes beyond protecting end-users from being hacked or spied on. It can also help companies comply with HIPAA or the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
