We’re happy to announce the latest update to Tresorit Business with new data control features and an improved Admin Center.
Tresorit is based on the principle that security and ease-of-use can go hand in hand. As we see an increasing number of bigger work teams choosing Tresorit Business, our aim is to develop the features they need for secure, compliant and convenient work processes.
What’s new in Tresorit Business?
- Advanced Control: According to a study, more than 40 percent of data breaches are due to employee mistakes such as losing devices or sending emails to wrong recipients. To help companies mitigate these risks, we are launching Advanced Control. With this, admins can reset passwords for users in their business account. They can also revoke access from a specific device, in case it is lost, or when an employee leaves the company. Currently, Advanced Control is available upon individual request. Please contact your account manager for more information.
- Strengthened account security: To further strengthen the security of business users, they have to use 2-factor authentication before they delete their account.
- Active Directory integration: Bigger companies have internal systems such as Microsoft Active Directory for managing employee access. Our Active Directory Connector tool (AD Connect) enables them to manage Tresorit users within their domain networks.
- Redesigned and improved Admin Center: We added more data governance and user management features, as well as policy templates to manage security policies. There are now more payment options (PayPal, Lastschrift).
With improving Tresorit Businesses, our aim is to support companies in taking control of their data and ensuring compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The new EU data protection law highlights encryption as an appropriate safeguard for personal data. Therefore, Tresorit’s end-to-end encryption simplifies compliance processes by protecting data in the cloud.
